Am I the only one who doesn't bother with anti viruses? I've been
running without any for 3 years and I'm doing fine. It honestly just
depends what you're doing on the computer .
It get's better. It looks like Avast forgot to update the forum software
they have in use. Or rather: probably ignored it.
The software they are using has not been updated for at least a year,
and highly likely not even for two years. That while the author of the
opensource software that was in use issued a few updates (some bugfixes,
but also two critical security patches), sent out newsletters about
that and the software displays that there is an update on the Admin
page. :')
It looks like they ignored all of it and did not update, and therefore
are now hacked due to their negligence, as the forum's software current
version has no known security vulnerabilities at all and is running on
thousands and thousands of unaffected websites, even high profile ones
like Comodo Internet Security...
