There is a difference between doing something in one's own backyard vs. doing something in public. Facebook happens to be a private forum (e.g. backyard) to which all of one's "friends" are invited.
Is that really "stalking"? I am not really sure. There certainly is an aspect of creepiness when someone goes through every photo of another's Facebook albums. There is, however, a level of consent involved.
The majority of people who trawl through your photos aren't creepers, they're just trying to figure out who you are, why you sent them a friend invite, and hey, they found bonus material while they were on the search.
