Science Channel Confusing People with Unproven Alien Encounters

I am a firm believer of science and it angers me that a concept yet to be proven true would have its own TV show on the Science Channels. I understand that these shows bring in lots of views but they are horribly misrepresenting the scientific community by allowing these unproven shows to air on such a scientific channel.

TV shows such as "Uncovering Aliens" and "Close Encounters" are popping up all over the Science Channel.

P.s It bugs me that a TV channel dedicated to science would promote the idea of aliens.
