Yes, it's easier to contain, yes, in absolute numbers it hasn't affected that many people, but we have never seen an outbreak of this magnitude before, which is in densely populated areas with poor health infrastructure to begin with, and most importantly (in my opinion) has killed off much of the few health care providers that were present in these communities to begin with. This will impact future care of Malaria and other more common diseases and further decrease community trust in modern health care, so everything spirals downwards.
