The NSA believes that Korea's nuclear capabilities are better than
they've been letting on, and feared that showing The Interview would
actually result in a nuclear launch by North Korea. They can't reveal
this because it would cause a panic and definitely ruin Christmas sales.
So the NSA hacked Sony as a false flag operation, making it look like it had been done by North Korea, forcing them to back off releasing the movie.
But then Obama got wind of what they were up to (he'd been kept on the dark due to compartmentalization and for the sake of plausible deniability) and forced the NSA to stand down, signalling them by publicly stating that Sony refusing to release the movie was a bad decision. That's why there haven't been any leaks since the last one where the threats were made.
What do you think ?
