It looks like virtual assistants are becoming the equivalent of the operating system in the 80s and 90s and Amazon’s going to license out Alexa like it’s Windows.
This is a missed opportunity for Google. They have all the resources to compete here. It’s reminiscent to how they missed out on social by entering the market too late.

I’m really curious to see how Apple fleshes out Siri in the future. What Amazon’s doing with Alexa seems like territory Apple’s usually hesitant to enter.
